Why do leaves change color in the autumn? They just get tired of wearing green all year long. Trees decide it is time for a bright new wardrobe. Do they ask you for fashion advice before turning red? Not me, though they really should. Inside every leaf are hidden colors like yellow and orange that finally get to show off. So green was just hiding the whole time? Exactly, it was playing hide and seek. When trees stop making food for winter, the green fades away and the party colors come out. Have a colorful day.
